The Department of Mechanical and Metal Technologies offers theoretical and practical training in modern production technologies to train qualified technicians needed by industry. As part of the program, students gain knowledge and skills in areas such as CNC machines, CAD/CAM software, manufacturing processes, material science, quality control, and industrial automation. The educational process, supported by laboratory and workshop facilities, develops students' professional competencies and prepares them for the professional world.
Admission Requirements
Students who have completed secondary education and achieved a sufficient score on the National University Entrance Exam (TYT).
Internship and Industry Practices
Summer internships and industry practice courses are available for our students to apply the knowledge they learn in class in a real-life workplace environment.
* Summer internships are conducted for 30 working days at the end of the first year. The internship is considered a course within the semester.
* Industry practices are applied once a week for 6 hours in each of the two semesters of the second year and are considered as Industry Practices-I and II courses.
* Our students receive workplace accident insurance from the school during their summer internships and industry practice courses.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates who successfully complete the program can transfer to various engineering programs, including Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Materials, Metallurgical, and Industrial Engineering, through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
Graduates are employed in the mechanical manufacturing, automotive, defense, energy, shipbuilding, and metalworking sectors. They can also establish their own businesses by gaining sufficient knowledge and experience.
